The Popular Show Season Four Reveals the Soldiers Group

From the very beginning of the fourth campaign, new Dungeon Master Brennan Mulligan has kept viewers on edge with extensive world-building, a wide array of characters, and a exciting storyline showcasing angels, demons, and malevolent powers expanding in power within Dol-Makjar.

Heads-up: Key plot points for Episode 3 of Campaign 4 follow below.

The Soldiers Table Introduced

The third episode finished on a huge suspense moment and introduced the initial group of adventurers who will branch out from the primary party to undertake their independent quest, distinct from the other two tables.

The combat-focused team consists of Teor Pridesire (brought to life by Travis), the nimble rogue (Laura), the strong-willed figure (Whitney), Wicander Halovar (the player), and Kattigan Vale (the actor).

Why Split the Party?

Considering 13 cast members, it was clear from the start that keeping everyone at the same party would be impossible.

This explains, the first four episodes of Campaign 4 serve as an Overture, connecting the personal journeys before dividing into three smaller tables: Fighters, Schemers, and Explorers.

The Nature of the Warrior Group

As described by the Dungeon Master, the Soldiers table is for adventurers who prefer a typically action-packed fight-heavy story mode where peaceful solutions are few and far between.

Upon first impression, characters like the hesitant healer Wicander Halovar might look unsuited, but the events of the third episode make it clear why these specific adventurers are ideally matched for the combat party.

Reasons to Leave

To begin with, the party has a clear idea where to proceed after a intense opening clash with the enemy group.

A former ally of Thjazi Fang—whose passing started the narrative’s action—exploited the foes for his own means, invading the secret base, striking the character, and taking all the powerful objects to sell off.

The antagonist then cleared his obligations and fled to a Halovar stronghouse in the remote area, north of the urban center, with Teor’s brother close behind.

Character Drivers

Secondly, each member has a personal reason to leave the city the urban setting:

  • Thimble, as the companion and trusted friend, wants retribution.
  • Kattigan knows the region and cautions that it is a hostile environment.
  • Tyranny and Wicander, having resisted his house’s orders to kill the fighter and instead freed him, have nowhere else to go.
  • However, their status as prominent individuals in House Halovar could enable the team enter places they normally couldn’t.
  • Moreover, The fighter swore a eternal obligation to Wicander for his salvation and will now follow him anywhere.

Wanted and Hunted

Lastly, all of them are wanted by the powers that rule Dol-Makjar for a multiple motives, making remaining behind no longer safe:

  • The rogue and The hero are recognized lawbreakers.
  • The warrior and The cleric defied House Halovar and the army of fiends they are allied with.
  • The target is wanted dead by House Halovar.

This results in them little choice but to head to the northern region in search of Casimir.

What’s Next?

According to the recent installment’s post-show segment, we discover that the combat party won’t be around the following episode, leaving the other eight cast members to assemble the Explorers and Strategists parties.

Fans can look forward to learning which adventurers will be assigned to which table in Campaign 4’s concluding setup installment, available to watch on the upcoming Thursday.
